Owly takes on Nasty

DSCF0725smallDSCF0724small

Owly linked up with Stormin and Marcus Nasty, although Owly wasn't too
impressed with the blazing zoot coating his atmosphere. A fight broke out,
Stormin ended up breaking out in a rash, which resulted into Stormin never
being able to wear jean jackets again (Thank the lord of that) . I hear that
Marcus Nasty can't go near 'chicks' ever again after the horror of that night.
Proving that although girls may love Nasty, Nasty crew don't love Girls
(Well Chicks, ok ok .... just Mr Owly). They should of just talked to 'Frank'
and it would of never of happened.

I'm tired of it all...

Isit just me or is Wiley and his sending getting a touch boring.
I wouldn't be surprised if he was sending for bus drivers and
ticket inspectors in the near future. Trim has apparently left
Roll Deep, Wow! lets give him a medal and a pat on the back.
All this pointless news is no way more entertaining than hearing
that my car got broken into, in Tottenham while i was away in
Scotland. They bent the passenger door back so far its stuck like
that from now on. Although for all their achievements all they got
was 30p's worth of 1 & 2p's. I even had a Dollar Da Dustman
mixtape on the front seat but they chose the coppers over that.

ALSO...

Cookie uses Banana's as some what of a Sexual accelerator.

Dirty Canvas (Skitz Beats Launch Party) - 2.12.06

DSCF0890small

Another month had arrived, and another new edition to the growing
popular Dirty Canvas Grime nights was about to commence. Along
with performances from Ruff Squad and Jammer, Skitz Beats added
his album launch to the night. Live P.A's from J.M.E and President T
of 'Heard what you said', and a set with what felt like half of the Grime
scene controlling the mic, DC were definitely not disappointing. With
Grime DJ, Logan Sama taking over the turntables for the set, we had
yet again another fabulous turnout with priceless performances.

DSCF0827small

DJ Magic introduced the night with his classic old school grime
vibes including Donaeo's 'My philosophy' and proved with his
timeless expertise, why he is the resident DJ. Scandalous hosted
the night and contributed to Magic's opening session which got the
drinks rolling in and gave us an insight to the genuine good vibes
that were all ready set in motion.

begging to be in this picture.

DSCF0856small
Jme enjoyed some much needed finger twiddling in the crowd, before
his performance.

President T... I don't think they heard what you said...

DSCF0872small
JME I really don't think he heard what you said...

DSCF0893small

DJ Logan sama arrived quietly and took to the decks, mixing several
tracks before bringing JME and President T P.A of Skitz Beats eminent
'Heard what you said'. With their performance being some what even
better than the actual track itself, many members of the audience fainted
( I think), although many chose to attempt to spit along with the Mcs.
Frisco shortly joined his Boy Better Know associates and carried on the
energy in a 30minute set.

I didn't know if Bruza was just vexed as I was, that one girl wouldn't
stop poking her head infront of my pictures or that he just hated me.
(Hmmm)

DSCF0933small
GET ME?

Gradually many mcs came down from guzzling their drinks and along with
the rest already on stage, joined in. Bruza caught the mic and produced some
'Get Me' bars, while Knuckles grabbed some gasoline and a bottle of Alize and
showered down spectators. Trigz and Levels (Chip shop kool kool) created alot
of hype and paparazzi flashes along with many other Mc's like Blacks, Rage,
Krucial and Badness. Skepta later arrived, joining his adenuga brother and as
always made the crowd so hyped up, it was as if Crack had smoked up the
atmosphere, It was alot. Logan presented an extensive mix of beats while the
mc's brought steal bars, although the rush of vocal specialists weren't stopping.
Soon Members of Ruff Squad piled through the crowd and DJ Scholar
(I think, i was in paparazzi mode by now) took over from Logan and
Tinchy Stryder, Lightning, Fuda Guy, Shifty and many others assembled
themselves infront of DC. They all took their turn, although not even Skepta
could denie that when Rebound-X most identifiable beat to date dropped, the
whole room was in a gun finger frenzy. Skepta ran from the bar and ended
up half way in the crowd skanking away like his feet were running away from
him. The Ruff Squad set also got interrupted by a speedy Jammer, along with
Gully Ranjah who took the mic and like Skepta skanked out in the pits of
onlookers to give his creditable Murkle Man.

I'll leave Jammer's body dumped in an alley way
JME IS THAT REALLLLY YOU!! SCARY!!

DSCF0980small
JME blanks out dreaming about coming home to a page full of
Myspace Messages & comments.

Skepta hates smokers (so he says)

DSCF0996small
Logan loves twiddling big knobs and little knobs, infact any knob at all...
on the mixer DON'T GET IT TWISTED...

DSCF1000small
The picture says it all (nothing at all... just how anoying cameraphone ppl are)

DSCF1005small
Flo Dan showed us how his elderly moves are most definitely becoming pre-historic.

DSCF1026small
Dare i say it... Lightning on the mic AGAIN! where is security when you need it.

DSCF1027small
Give Tinchy the Mic... PLEASE

DSCF1038small
Skepta takes on the crowd and has a little skank!
Watch the white guy in the back, Claim to fame

and he didn't wear it at the last DC performance "

DSCF1049small DSCF1059small
DSCF1064small
SKITZ IS ALOT!!!

Although with several no shows i.e: Swinging Tempa T, the night still
went on and it was hardly noticeable apart from the lonely baseball
bat in the corner. An impressive night, Full line up with more mc's
than i could pack into a black plastic bag. Roll on the next Dirty Canvas.

Showerest chick in the scene: Owly

Personally i'm not too good with give aways, seeing as I never have anything to give away. Although a little birdy (literally) who I accidently bumped into, loves to give away just about everything he can get his hands on. Let me introduce you to the biggest chick in the game, Mr 'Shower Owl' Owly. He knows just about everyone in the scene, and he has chosen my blog to give us free stuff and show off his famous grime encounters. Although to introduce Owly he thought it would be a good idea to give some free sh*t to you people.

First we have another Guns and Roses Vol.2:

QUESTION: Name one Producer and DJ from Ruff Sqwad.
ANSWER: Email to hyperlovesit@hotmail.com or leave in the comment box.

This was WON by Gavin from the USA.

Love Music Hate Racism - 30.11.06

DSCF0687small

Music in its simplest form, an instrument, decks and a microphone is not
exactly one of life's most powerful forces against such racist political parties
like the BNP. Although visualise a mix of the UK's most popular Grime and
Indie artists performing in a venue, lets say Fabric (London). Then envision
an enthusiastic swarm of fans, media individuals and music enthusiasts
gathered together, ready to crowd in to see their favourite acts from the vast
variety of Grime & Indie acts. Now you can begin to figure the energy,
the mixture of cultures, races, religions and the exciting proportion of talent
present at Love Music Hate Racism.

The venue itself had 3 main rooms, Room one had alot of the main acts in like
Baby Shambles, Virus Syndicate, Fire camp (Minus Lethal B) and a Grime set
with Skepta, Jammer, Nasty Crew and Gully Gang. Room two also featured
many main acts such as Heartless Crew, Faith SFX and a variety of Indie bands.
Room three was dedicated purely to Drum and Bass, which although was the
smallest room, was packed out till the end with DJ's Andy C and L double.

DSCF0697small

While the night was still developing and the crowds of people still pouring in,
packing out the mini room raves. I decided to spend a little time in the VIP
Lounge (Thanks to James aka Hooker) and bumped into Napper of all people.
I interrogated him (literally), "I've been really busy, not sure about bringing
out a mixtape but I'm definitely bringing out an album next year, bringing it
out by myself NO Label, Check out my myspace www.myspace.com/napperno1".
I forgot to ask him if he was a wasteman, because my neck and arm was hurting
too much from looking up for too long.

DSCF0722small
I bumped into my fabulous pouting skanker in the crowd.

DSCF0739small
Someone must of let some air out because i turned round
and these 2 were there.

DSCF0741small
I knew you wouldnt believe me when i told you Logan was
doing Raj's Pouting skank while Djing, now i have proof.

"I expect if I'm walking down a road behind a girl and for her to look at me
because, I'm black and I'm wearing a hoodie, and think I'm going to rob her
handbag. It's naturally inside her and she doesn't really want to be racist,
if we were in a safe house she wouldn't be scared of me..." was a snippet of
something Skepta said throughout the night which made me think about the
whole thought of racism and its links with judgement.
I got to talk to many Artists throughout the night mainly Grime mc's and most
said that the concept of the event was much supported and was a good way to
get groups of different people together. Although "I don't think they're getting
the point across, they're just putting loads of artists on stage and if it wasn't for
the name then i would of thought it was some kind of Sidewinder..." was another
point that Skepta made clear about the night. They had gathered many different
people together to share each others love for music, but Skepta's point was proved
when half of the crowds in the venue left after all the Indie bands had finished and
just before one of the sickest Grime sets began.

DSCF0748small
"It's the PURPLEEEE MAN"

Although what was planned was many separate performances one after
another, Grime came differently and held its own mini Sidewinder in room
one. Packed on stage was Skepta, Jammer, Gully Gang, Doctor, L Dot Man,
C Gritz, Several Nasty Crew members including Stormin and corner packed
full of bodyguards, what looked like 50 grown men ready to pounce the second
their was a whiff of trouble. Logan Sama DJ'ed throughout the set while Grime
DJ, Cameo sat beside him while Logan dropped tracks from popular funky
house to Grime's most popular ranges of Wiley, Skepta, Jammer and
Davinche instrumentals.

DSCF0788small
Stormin wouldn't let Jammer have the mic back and started

pushing Stormin for the mic... It didn't go down too good.
Although Security were there waiting like it was Jeremy Kyle.

DSCF0791small
Skepta settled the lovers tiff and called the bar tender to
get those 2 a drink.

DSCF0794small
Jammer wasn't having none of it and said "NO ONLY ONE!"

DSCF0804small
All was going crazily like it was a priceless night, until L dot Man appeared
with the mic and Wifey Riddim dropped and was herd throughout the rooms
blaring speakers. Like a bomb had just hit down, everyone fled the stage and
by the time L dot Man got through his 6th Bar the stage was empty.

DSCF0807small
Purple was left to pull back the crowd and the other artists with a fabulous
performance, and was working up until L dot Man managed to retrieve
the mic again and they all left like clock work for a second time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not sure what I was thinking with the whole random angles but i was
taking pictures at the same time.
Multi-tasking is alot.
